Region 10 Online Learning Center

The online instructional units produced by the Region 10 Education Service Center provide a high-interest, media enriched, interactive instructional design based on specific objectives required on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.

Each unit contains learning objectives, content, and interactive activities that are clearly explained along with several interactive activities and strategically placed pop-up questions that provide immediate feedback for the student. Throughout the unit “Reviews for Understanding” provide instant feedback allowing the student to have an immediate measurement of their individual level of understanding.

Coming this 2008

During 2008 Region 10 will be developing these exciting new tutorials:

  • America in the Cold War, Part 2,
  • Critical Thinking Skills,
  • Academic Vocabulary,
  • Writing: The Extreme Makeover, and
  • Mathematics and Measurements

As you can see this year we are concentrating on cognitive academic skills that will focus on how to figure out complex ideas, how to polish your reports and papers, how to strengthen your word power, and how to approach those pesky math problems. And, we'll be finishing up the Cold War series from the end of the Korean War to the fall of the Berlin wall.

These new tutorials are scheduled to be ready to go by August 1, 2008.
